Leaf area
Measuring leaf area contributes to all types of research in agronomy, ecology, plant physiology, plant pathology, carbon cycle studies and entomology, and can be done in the field or laboratory.

Applications
LI-COR Leaf Area Meters are used worldwide in all types of environmental applications including
- Agronomy
- Ecology
- plant physiology
- plant pathology
- carbon cycle studies
- entomology
Key features:
- Fast, accurate measurements
- Field or laboratory applications
- Reliable, time-tested
- Proven standard
Three different types of time-tested and reliable Leaf Area Meters are available, offering you the choice of
Portable Area Meter
Non-destructive leaf area measurements in the field. Lightweight, simple, fast, with Windows Interface software. Leaf area, leaf length, average width, and maximum width are logged by the readout console as the scanning head is drawn over a leaf. Results can be viewed on the display or output to a computer using the LI-3000C application software.

Area Meter
Rapid, exacting measurements of large amounts of detached small or large leaves, in the laboratory. Adjustable press roller to flatten curled leaves. Data are shown on the instrument display or output to a computer using Windows software.

Plant Canopy Analyser
Labor-saving, direct measurements of Leaf Area Index in plant canopies, in the field. Non-destructive, fast, cost-effective, for use in a variety of canopy types. Calculates mean foliage inclination angle and canopy gap fraction. On-site evaluation of Leaf Area Index data. Large memory capacity can store over 1.5 million readings. Lightweight, ergonomic console, with intuitive menu and long battery life. Plug and play USB data transfer.
